Mmm...

You do a swell job of differentiating all the voices, dunno how you do it!

Myself, I've got: AM, PM, drunk, stoned, and screechy voice sets, and they all sound eerily similar. I used to practice and do a few accents, but these days I just parrot the mid-west accent (w/ extreme prejudice), that seems to permeate radio and TV broadcasters in the US today, which is nasal, wimpy and not at all like the US accents of old :(

Boy, tell me about the US accents of old. I'm still trying to figure out what the hell happened and why it is that old newscasters and actors and stuff all sounded so good and bold in their vocal structures, while these days it's just kinda... nothing. It's not even just a pitch thing, it's this weird sense of vocal integrity. I mean I'm sure the old recording equipment had something to do with it, but other than the chronic smoking and drinking I can't figure out too many factors as to why the martini generation is preserved as being some of the coolest sounding motherfuckers that ever were.

Thanks for the compliment!

It's like, the only work a person from the upper-middle west USA can get, is to be a broadcaster. It's been that way for decades now: with so many radio and TV affiliates in the middle of nowhere, major markets can pick and choose talent... I blame https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joan_Lunden completely |:

They all sound like Tommy Pickles mother from Rugrats, Didi or something... it was a charming accent last century, but I'm really tired of it now. It's hard to even hear a normal NYC accent (on radio and TV), and I live less than an hour away O_O Anyway, I knew you'd understand my pet-peeve, now bordering (boidering) on murderous rage lol
